Welcome to my web site. I am a bodyworker, psychotherapist and educator with office in Concord, Massachusetts. Here you will find information about my work, my background, and the specific therapeutic modalities I offer. These include:
- Structural Integration: a form of bodywork and movement education developed by Dr. Ida P. Rolf which is effective with chronic pain, postural issues, and movement restrictions.
- Somatic Psychotherapy: an approach to psychotherapy emphasizing body-mind integration, and including specific therapies such as HakomI Body-Centered Psychotherapy and E.M.D.R.
- Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction: an application of mindfulness meditation techniques to stress and stress-related problems.
- Ch’I Kung: a gentle form of moving meditation, much like TaI Chi.
Based on my experiences with each of these forms, I can say that they are effective, integrative paths to healing and personal development. As a practitioner, my intention is to facilitate body-mind integration, to support the kinds of self-awareness which lead to opportunities for new choices, and to help you to develop these and other resources for positive change.
Because of the personal nature of bodywork and psychotherapy, I offer a complimentary half-hour consultation to help us both determine whether working together would be a good fit. Please call (preferred) or e-mail with your interest/questions, and we will see if it makes sense to schedule an in-person consultation as well.
I am available to work with individual adults and teenagers, couples and groups. I look forward to hearing from you.
